Officer Downe is an over the top comic book film that you need to see as of yesterday.

Directed by Shawn "Clown" Crahan and starring Kim Coates, this movie is a non-stop thrill ride with a soundtrack to match. Based on the graphic novel of the same name, Officer Downe is a special breed of cop in L.A. and a war is coming. Coates' portrayal of Downe in my opinion is great. The direction of the movie is frantic and amazing. I really dig this movie!

Ghostbusters (2016)

Ghostbusters 2016... A review of a movie some people didn't want.

This movie has so much hatred toward it and I honestly didn't know why, until I watched it. Yes they pay homage to the original, in their own way. No it isn't a sequel to the original. No it isn't even in the same "universe" as the original. It had some funny moments, but not enough for my liking since there were Saturday Night Live cast members in the film. I took a step back, said to myself, "Give it a chance", and I was still let down. I just wish that the movie has been better than it was hyped up to be. My son liked it a lot and was mad at me for not liking it. Surprisingly enough, I don't hate the movie. It wasn't made for me, nor was it made for hardcore Ghostbusters fans. It was made for the folks that just wanna turn off and enjoy a movie. I guarantee that if I had seen this as a child, it would've been a favorite of mine. I can't say anything bad about it other than it wasn't for me.

Steel Panther "Lower The Bar"

Lower The Bar is setting the bar high for debauchery!

I recently purchased a digital copy of Steel Panther's "Lower The Bar" and have been listening to it everyday since. The album is a fun romp with hair metal sounds. Songs like "Goin' In The Backdoor", "Wasted Too Much Time", and "Walk Of Shame" have kept me in stitches, without even seeing a video for the songs. These guys have a blast and they don't seem to be stopping any time soon.

Wrestlemania 33

Wrestlemania is and will always be, the showcase of the immortals.

Let me make this clear: I am not here to critique nor criticize the performers in any way, shape, form, or fashion.

I watched with my son as we saw match after match on Sunday and were amazed at the abilities these men and women have. I felt like I was ten years old again watching the WWE Superstars and cheering the ones I root for. We laughed, we stood in amazement, and we thanked the Undertaker (I'm our own way). It was a night of great matches, picking favorites, and just having fun.

On the opposite side of the coin, others criticize booking, performers, and even other fans. When did this start? When did people stop having fun at a wrestling show? I will probably never know and truthfully, I don't wanna hear an excuse about it. Start having fun again people. Love or hate Roman Reigns! As long as there is a reaction, positive or negative, he will always be on screen. The same is said about John Cena, Triple H, and others that fans deem "not worthy of their time". As an adult, I cheer for who I like and boo for who I despise.  The ten year old Dean is just excited to watch, be in the presence of, and know some of the wrestlers.

Thank you to all of the performers! Without your sacrifices we would be stuck watching movies and itching for more. Just my opinion.

April Fools Day

Watched NXT Takeover: Orlando with the family and my son said, "Mania is gonna have to be great to top NXT." I thought he was goofing with me because of April Fools Day and all, but he wasn't. We're getting ready for Wrestlemania tomorrow and I hope it is just as awesome, if not better.
