Heather Height Interview

Today's interview is the very funny and attractive Heather Height! She allowed us a bit of her time to ask her some questions and here they are:

DL: As a kid you were picked on and through that you found comedy as a way to conquer the bully. From high school you went on to college and pursued a degree in social sciences. The comedy bug had bit you long before this, did you think that you would ever get on a stage and tell jokes or was that considered a "pipedream"?

HH: I wanted to be an entertainer for as long as I remember. I even pretended to bomb when I was a kid. I had this picture of cartoon monsters sitting in an audience. I have no idea where this came from or why I had it, but it was a cardboard cut out of Dracula, a mummy, a Frankenstein monster, a wolf-man and some other assorted monsters, all with flat, unimpressed expressions on their faces, and I would stand in front of it and tell jokes and then look from face to non-laughing face and say things like "what is this, a picture of an audience?!" Holy SHIT! I was a weird kid! No wonder I was bullied. Anyway, I figured everybody wanted to be famous. I know it might seem weird, but I didn't pursue it because if everybody wanted it, but relative to the population so very few had it, I figured it would make me a cliché or something. Then I heard Seinfeld do that bit about how more people were afraid of public speaking than death, and somehow in my mind, if it was unique to have this urge to make groups of people laugh, I had a responsibility to at least give it a try.

DL: You have an internet radio show called Naughty Bits and you co-host for HSR on Bob Levy's channel (www.stickam.com/levyland), How did you get started in the internet radio field?

HH: I met a comic at a show who gave me a CD of his pod cast. I was trying to get in his pants, so I became a fan and listened every week. Yes, women do that shit too. Anyway, one of the guests on their show would come in the chatroom on occasion and he was constantly trying to pick me up. He tried everything to get me to make the trip from Pennsylvania to Long Island, and finally convinced me to come be a guest on his podcast. I, of course weaseled my way into the third mic position, and yadda yadda yadda, he's my husband now. We've been doing HSR for like 6 years now and I started Naughty Bits about 3 years ago.

DL: Naughty Bits is considered a Sex Advice show with a comedic flavor, was this your brain child?

HH: Yes, obviously I'm somewhat driven by sex. Its one of my favorite subjects, in fact. Lets face it, we're sexual beings and if we weren't by it, we wouldn't make new people, so its kind of necessary. But I could never do a show that didn't include comedy. Being funny is how I communicate. My first choice for a co-host was my friend Aden Ardennes, because he is pretty much my opposite, and he's gay. Every female comic needs her homosexuals. Not everybody gets Aden, but he has become one of my closest friends, he can take me giving him shit, and has a lot to contribute. Recently we added Pro Domme porn star Julie Simone. She adds the sexy to the show, while mildly horrifying our more vanilla listeners with stories of the sessions her clients request. Julie is being inducted into the AVN Hall of Fame this year. We're so proud!

DL: You've worked with some cool folks while doing stand-up comedy: Colin Quinn, Robert Kelly and Mick Foley, how was it working with "Cactus Jack"? (Btw, I'm a huge wrestling fan! LOL)

HH: I consider myself very lucky to have had the opportunity to work with these guys. My husband is a huge wrestling fan, I am a huge fan of making fun of wrestling. My husband thinks its hilarious, he wants to do a series of youtube videos of me making comments while watching wresting, I don't think other wrestling fans would appreciate it as much as he does, so my sense of self preservation has kept him from pursuing this project. Now don't go hatin on me! I make fun of wresting on T.V. Because I m a cynical asshole, but the very things I joke about are the exact things I love most about wrestling. I love the history of wrestling, the Carney esthetic, the athleticism and choreography of the matches. I enjoy watching documentaries and movies about the wrestling world. There are so many correlations between that world and the world of stand up comedy. The movie "The Wrestler" made me question why I wanted to be a comedian. Mick Foley is one of my favorite people. "Beyond the Mat" just blew me away! The genre is low brow, and doesn't exactly garner the respect of, lets say, Opera. But if you broke them down side by side, Opera isn't that much different from Pro Wrestling, the only difference is people dress nicer to go see an Opera and the fat lady doesn't drag razor blades across her forehead and get hit with a folding chair while she's singing her aria. Alright, there are more differences, just go with me on this. O.K. My point is, working with Mick fuckin rocked! He's the only person I would do this for!
http://youtu.be/2ezOeoFn8YwDL: Seriously, do you ever get intimidated when you're told who you will be working with?
At my level I vie for position to work with people. I don't get told who I'm working with, I beg for spots on shows with them! Then, when I realize what I've done, I try my best not to freak the fuck out and choke on stage in front of them. Comics are very self centered, ego maniacs. I take solace in the fact that it is very unlikely that any of them pay attention to what I do on stage and, if they did hear it, they will probably not remember. When I worked on the show with Colin Quin, I kept myself calm with the thought that he would be in another room while I was on stage, and certainly didn't give a shit about listening to me. As it turned out, I was doing the last set before the headliner, and ended up doing my whole set with him standing in the doorway staring at me. I put it in my head that he was probably staring through me while thinking about what he was going to say. Not that I don't day dream about someone higher up in the business hearing my set, thinking I'm hilarious and taking me under their wing, its just incredibly unlikely, and a sure fire way to end up messing up on stage and turning it into a huge bomb that they'll never forget.

DL: You're also a writer and have been in different publications, columns, magazines, etc. How cool is it when you look back and reflect that you turned all that bullying and what not into a career that rocks?

HH: Wow! I never looked at it exactly that way. I admit, I like seeing Facebook friend requests from people that I thought hated me in high school. They're usually fat or bald and still live in the same neighborhood, or even better, with their parents. That's more of a weird circumstance associated with social networking than where my career has gone. Lets be honest, who doesn't like to see that they're more awesome than somebody who was an ass hat to them in high school? So, if I do reflect on how the said "ass hats" of life has made me deal with things the way I do and had a part in making me who I am, I'd say it's cool as shit!

Thank you again for allowing me to take a bit of your time for this interview. You can find Heather on Facebook (www.facebook.com/heatherheight) on Twitter (@heatherheight) and listen to her podcasts; HSR Sunday's from 2 - 5pm EST and Naught Bits Fridays from 8 - 10pm EST on Levy Land (

...and here we GO!

Another year is pretty much in the bag. The Mayans were wrong, lives began and unfortunately ended, and we've gotten stronger during trying times. All in all, not a bad year! Thoughts and prayers go out to the families and friends that lost a loved one this year, be strong and know that they are in a far better place than we are. Don't dwell on the bad time, remember the good and have great times while remembering!

Now on to the next year...
Who, what, when, where and how are the five questions that people ask this time of year. My question is, "How far will you go for true happiness?" The Dean's List and my comedy make me happy as well as being with my family and friends. I wanna reach my zenith (not the TV) and bring folks with me, because that's how I do things. 2013 is gonna be a year that we make things happen for us and ours!

More Dean's List Interviews, YouTube Interviews and more Stand Up Comedy... Now my question is: "Are you ready?"

Urban Enough???

I saw a clip of a reporter of sorts, if you will, talking about Robert Griffin III and being and African American male that doesn't want to be defined as an African American.

Rob Parker asked: Is he a "Brother" or a "Cornball Brother" ?
I'm not sure what a "Cornball Brother" is but I'm pretty sure that is a racist comment directed from a man of color to another man of color. If a White man had said the things that Mr. Parker had said, there would've been an outrage of emotions and everything that follows in such moments. This man brought to the forefront that RG3 is a Republican and that he's engaged to a White woman. Is this stuff really news worthy or is it just some asshole wanting to get folks to read and/or watch his segment on tv or an article that he has written.

My opinion is that this gentleman and I use the term very loosely, shouldn't bring anyone's beliefs, their political views or who they are getting married to into a segment on ESPN. Unless it is sports related, shut the hell up! I can't stand racist assholes and I will not tolerate it! it's 2012 almost 2013 and this is plain as day proof that racisim is still prevalent in our culture. Don't hate, there's always someone a bit bigger than you that will whip that candy ass if you start!

My name is Dean Jennings and I'm the man for the job. So if ya can't get close enough to feel me, HOLLA IF YA HEAR ME!

Bronson

I've been watching Tom Hardy in some great movies recently. Films like The Dark Knight Rises, Inception, Warrior and now Bronson.

Based on the true story of Britain's most notorious prisoner Michael Peterson aka Charlie Bronson. A man that wants to be famous yet ends up becoming famous for all of the wrong reasons.

Tom Hardy plays Bronson, a man that has spent thirty-four years in prison. Thirty of them in solitary confinement. An artist, a fighter and a madman is the best way to describe this man and the savage ways he goes about things takes you on a ride like no other. I recommend this film if you like Tom Hardy's work and if you don't, you should watch it for the story. It is a gripping tale and it is truly a roller coaster ride.

On The Dean's List Scale:
1 - "I'll Never Tell" anything good about this movie!
2 - I must've been "Dazed & Confused" to watch this!
3 - "You Only Live Twice" and I may have missed something!
4 - Not even a "Blazing Saddle" could tear me away from this one!
5 - Just like "Rocky", it goes the distance!

Bronson gets:

Kora Peters Interview

First off, thank you for taking time out of your schedule to be apart of The Dean's List. How does it feel to be on The Dean's List?

Kora: I'm happy to be on here, why did it take so long for you to get me on here?

Umm... I'm a bit of a lazy-ass and I'm working on that! Now, let's get to the real questions ;)

How long have you been in the Adult Entertainment Industry?

Kora: I have been in the adult industry 5 years

How did you get your start? Were you nervous at all?

Kora: I got my start with some help from my friends in the music industry.  Careful what you say on a tour bus! I was nervous at first, but that faded fast. Can't be nervous in this business, sugar.

Is there anyone in the business that you'd like to work with that you haven't yet?

Kora: I recently retired from porn so I won't be filming anymore.

Do you have a favorite person to work with?

Kora: I really have fun on and off set with Payton Leigh and Lucky Starr.

Have you attended the AVN Awards in Las Vegas?

Kora: I have been to the AVN show in Vegas a few times to support friends.

If so, were you nominated, did you win or were you supporting a friend in the business?

Kora: I have never been nominated as I am much too picky about the scenes I did.

How many scenes have you been in?

Kora: I have been in a little over 50 scenes in the 5 years I was in the industry...that's almost unheard of!! I believe in quality over quantity!

Some starlets have performed with their fans on film, have you ever been with a fan on film?

Kora: No, I have never performed with a fan.  I am far too concerned about my health for that to ever happen.

If you were not in the Adult Entertainment Industry, what would you be doing?

Kora: I have several new projects now that I am not in porn.  I am producing my album 'Vampire Kisses' which I will start releasing singles from in 2013.

Fan Questions
What are your measurements? - John in California

Kora: My measurements are 34-27-34 -John

Would you teach my wife to swallow? - Dave in Kansas

Kora: I think Nina Hartley does an instructional DVD series.

What is your favorite position? - Amy in Washington

Kora: My favorite position is COWGIRL.  YEE HAW!

Did Dean photo shop your Dean's List picture? - Allan in Tennessee

Kora: No, Dean did not photoshop the Dean's List pic.  I will be sending him a new one soon.

Thank you Kora for being on the Dean's List and we hope to one day have a video interview sometime soon. Be sure to check out Kora at her website http://www.korapetersblog.com on Twitter @korapeters and of course you can find her here on The Dean's List. 25 Days of xXx-Mas: Day 3

The worst Christmas memory wasn't really bad but it was the only one that I've had...

I had just opened a gift that wasn't labeled and it was a sex toy that was for... Let's just say an older lady that was mortified! Her husband was cracking up and it was very funny. That's the worst Christmas memory, for that lady.

25 Days of xXx-Mas: Day 2

My favorite Christmas memory is the one of all of my family getting together and enjoying the time that we shared.

Granny laughing at the funny stories we told, Grandfather enjoying the new puppy he got, and the food that made us so sleepy! LOL the great times that we shared took all the fussing and fighting that we ever went through just fade away.

It's time for some festive events, little get togethers, and secret Santas!

This year I'm hoping to get fans and friends involved with this festive get together called the 25 Days of xXx-Mas! Immediately folks see the "xXx-Mas" and think that I'm trying to take Christ out of Christmas or that it's gonna be some perverted bunch of crap... Truth is, I called it "xXx-Mas" based on my naughty carols and it stuck.

Now to begin the first day, someone sent me the "naughty elf" pic above. Not sure if it's that person or if it's a pic that they found. Either way please enjoy and if you have a Naughty Elf pic you wanna send in like this one, a Best or Worst Christmas Present Story, Best or Worst Christmas Memory, Your Christmas Traditions, or anything like that... Oh, I didn't wanna forget the folks that celebrate Hannakuh or Kwanza, so send in your versions of these as well :)
Send to deanjenningscomedy@gmail.com and I'll get it on here for you, just include your name or an alias and where you're from :)

Happy Holidays, Merry Christmas, Happy Hannakuh, Merry Kwanza, and have a very Happy Festivus!
